2017 A to Z Blogging Challenge

thmrevel

This year, I will be participating in the A to Z Blogging Challenge, mostly to get myself back in the swing of blogging regularly. I have made some good online friends and found some interesting blogs through this process in the past. Those two things would be pleasant to experience again, but I really just need to get to blogging again.

My theme this year will be “A Crash Course in Being Me.” I realize that my blog hasn’t ever been something that appeals to the masses, and that is ok. If I can entertain one reader, if I can inform another, if I can persuade someone, or provide a possible solution to a problem — those small connections are all I desire.

As well, there is nothing so helpful to me as seeing ideas in print. Podcasts are great. Presentations are interesting. Lectures can be stimulating. But being able to read the words is the way I really learn.

I have a lot to learn right now, and always, and my blog is a place where I put those lessons so I can see them again and again.

The true subject of my blog for the blog challenge is parenting my special needs child. He is 11, and was born with Down syndrome. He’s completing 4th grade at the moment, and keeps me busy from sunup to sundown, and then some.

  2. Kepler looks so confident! Makes me feel you are already doing superb parenting. I know it must be so challenging and those challenges change all the time. Your insight is always helpful. I miss your posts.

So yay for the join and the topic! Just what I needed today to get me focused. Helpful already.

  3. Just popping over after you stopped by my blog. Really looking forward to seeing what you write – I always like blogs that have a bit of personality about them and I love your little boy – we have a two year old niece with Down Syndrome and she is an absolute delight. See you in April (which is tomorrow already – where has the time gone???)

  4. Good luck on the challenge! And in getting back into a writing/blogging routine. I am a bit the same way with my goals for the A to Z as well. May I “see” you throughout – and to the end – of the month!
